I have a clifford concept 500- Ive had nothing but trouble and im fed up of it. When it goes off, i dont even look i just turn it off because it does it so often.

I want my money back, i spent 500 on a pile off poop, ive heard i can call my credit card company and they will refund the money if i give the clifford stuff back 2 the company i bought it from! what else can i do? ask them 2 remove it and fit a new alarm, ask for compensation?

I have no idea what i should do but this isant right at all! Please Help!

Who fitted it mate??

You shud give them a chance to rectify the problem(s)

I had mine fitted by GAP security, initial instalation was wicked by the fitters, i watched over everything.

All worked fien until another fitter installed a new sensor it all went downhill from there!!!

after many many problems i said if my car gets stolen im leaving it up to u to repay me! in the end they refitted everythign and ive had no problems since.

i suggest u take thsi up with ur local tradic standards as they gave me a load of legal options, one being the car being fixed (alarm) elsewere and the origional company payiong!!!

all circumstances are different so get onto them

ask the company you got it from to either sort out the alarm or provide you with a replacement (probably a better one and they pay the difference for the inconvenience) if they completely refused phone your credit company and dispute the payment..what will happen then is the money will be taken back and held in the middle basically until it resolved...the credit card company will send you paperwork for you to sign and what they will do is lease with the merchant bank for the alarm company and something should then be sorted out..you should also in the interim consult with citizen advise etc and they should also be able to give you advise..hope everything is sorted mate

it will be that they have installed the sensors wrong, and that the bubbles they make are being broken by some metal in the car, it will be a case of refitting it, clifford have a bad rap because of this, but once fitted right they are the best alarms u can get.

You should have warrenty by the people who fit it, so get them to fix it or you want your money back

I have a Toad and have had no problems in 6 months.

i had a load of trouble with my clifford concept 300, and after 9 trips back to the fitters, once on the back of a recocery truck, i had had enough! asked them to take it all out and refund my money, but they told me they would charge me £150 for doing that! in the end just had to put up with it, its ok most of the time.

i had trouble that my 300 kept going off. Apparently on clios some wiring which normally goes to the lights in the car shouldnt be there as the car checks itself every now and then and the voltage sets the thing off..thus lots of false alarms. Took it back and havent had a problem since even tested all the sensors myslef being in the car when locked and it all works. Just take it back and get em to refit it till ur happy.

Like a few people have said, its doubtful its the actual alarm, most probably the fault lies with the installation of the kit.

I had a problem with an alarm on an old car of mine - it was a Cobra Cat 2.

Couldnt work out why it kept going off a few minutes after I set it, but not every time.

Turns out it was the hot air circulating around the car once Id left it activating the sensors. I cured the problem by opening the windows down the road from where I was going to park - thus expelling said cold air. It worked!! No more problems. It can be something really simple.

Wade round with Glen Ross and Marius Pudzianowski and tell the little sh*ts you want cash back or youre gonna have to break something.

Its the cash roper, or were gonna have to break something -Ross

You got it? - Pudzianowski

No - Alarm Fitter

Then this is for your own good - You

Cliffords have life time warrenty...so they should sort it!!

I bought a Concept 300 before crimbo n it drove me barmy going off everytime i turned it on for no reason.
Went back the fella told me watch how many times the LED flashes...and if i had anything like a quid coin some money or summat like that near the central console, i should remove it....
I did this and not a sniff from it since, so i havent bn able to find out how many flashes the LED does, cos it dont go off no more (unless i make it of course)

I couldnt believe it was something soooooo simple, apparently the money / bolts i had in my central console thing messed with microwave rays (or watever) that the Clifford alarms use.

You do have cover from your credit card company if the product supplied isnt of a good standard/what you paid for, best thing to do is to phone the credit card company the have experts that deal with this so will help, failing that does your home/car insurance have a legal helpline mines does and you could give them a bell after all youve paid for it use it

if all else fails and the company dont/wont fix it after all you should let them have a shot first then trading standard but this isnt guarenteed to get your money back

Thanks Guys, Really appreciated that.

Reading through, i keep alot of coins in my center console. I wont do this any more and ill will see what happens. Ill take it back too the fitters and let them have it for a day and see what they come up with!

Thanks Guys!

Samm!
