  RS Meg 175
Hello lads back gain, heres my car, iam confused atm and not sure what to do next, some pointers would be appreciated.

could u suggest what to get, how much and where to get the stuff installed or bought.

cheers lads

Colour coding and a nice subtle drop would be a good start.

Then maybe a cup spoiler and some silvervision bulbs. :)

  Golf GTI 1.8T
throw those lexus lights in the bin for a start = £0
get ph2 rear lights = £30-50
silvervision bulbs for front and rear = £20
new alloys if you want = £150+
lowering (apex 60mm) = £260
colour coding (wouldnt on a black car personally but) = £200+
k&n or similar induction kit = about £60

would love a cup spoiler myself but dunno how much or where to get them from...

whats wrong with tha old lexus lights!! lolz, came on the car.
u know any good places to get colour coding in hertfordshire? and how much?

also can you suggest and 16" alloy & tyre packages for arround £200?

and what are the negatives of lowering your car? i heard it was a bit dodgy, they can jump out if u hit a hard corner to fast? :S lol

Lower it
Fk coilovers (£550) are the best realy for a low ride but or Apex kit (£200~300) are a good value compromise but down't lower as much.
I'm not a fan of the Lexus light but each to there own.
Turini Alloys 9ie the ones from the 172 Cup) look very good lowered IMO.
Then go for colour coding.

New from Renault there about.
Cup 7701 474 864 spoiler £142.32
Cup 7700 429 000 brake light £30.29
Cup washer jet about £6.50
You ned all the bits to get one to fit plus a bit of piping for the washer jet.
Those prices are a bit old but give you an idea plus come unpainted.

Not many Lexus light fans on here on a Silver or white car they'd maybe look better in the eyes of others on here.
Negatives of lowering are a bit harder ride your lower to the ground so more possibilty to damge the underside if you drive over somehting but never an isssue whn mine was lowered. Also you can wear out a few susppension bits quicker but there not much to replace and you'll still get about 20k minimum realy out of them.
The other disadvantage is cars with body kits become very low in some cases.
Whoever told you that got the wrong end of the stick the cars lower less body roll so more speed round the bedns. Some kits will loose out though if there too hard and you kit a big pot hole hard but its terriably minor and IMo its easier to catch and control a car which has been lowered on some good suspension.

Probz go for the Apex kit how low should i drop?
The 60mm kits good its more expensive than the 30 mm kit though.
At the end of the day a 60mm calimed drop is more like 40 front and 55~60mm at the back.

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
go for 17s or dont bother, simple. Dont see the point in puttign after market alloys smaller than this on a car if looks is your goal. not like arch work is neeed

  Remapped derv Golf
1. Bin the lexus lights
2. silvervisions
3. Mk2 rear lights
4. 15' F1 Cups or 16' Turinis
5. Cup rear spoiler
6. 172 side skirts
7. lower a bit
8. colour code

  A well built VW
1. Bin the lexus lights and get some Mk2 rear lights
2. silvervisions
3. 16" 172 alloys done in anthracite (should be able to get a set for £200 then you have to refurb them but this can be done later
4. Cup rear spoiler or a 172 one looks good
5. lower 60mm
6. colour code

Ben_p had a really nice ph1 if your looking for inspiration
