What sort of Power am i looking at.

Rite...Not asking to debate the mods...Just a gestimate.

As std the car ran 171Bhp and 149 torque

New mods:
Full K-tec stealth (No decat)
Ram Air Carbon IK and Hill power bend
Stage 1 inlets/head
Dastek remap
Piper Cams

I would hope for early 190's Very late 180? Wat do you lot reckon?

Similar mods to Gary G who runs 197bhp on his 182 so I would say you are about right with high 180s

Yeh, AlanC said the same. tho he has 182 manifold...and decat?

Other 172 cars here have had:-

Inlet/manifold match
Maxogen
182 Exhaust manifold
SMT

and got 190bhp and 180lb/ft torque approx.

Go for this first then see if you want more power with the cam and the porr fuel consumption to go with it.

I can easily average 38-40mpg driving normally with my modifications :) Piper's tick a little but that doesnt really bother me.

Was gonna PM you earlier but you wern't online...How much did it cost you to get ur pipers put on? did they make a difference?

Cam swap is a fair few hours iirc mate...think most places would charge around the £300 mark (6hours or so) plus parts. Pipers are a cheap option and if Ben's were available when I was in the market then I would have gone with them instead (despite the cost). They're more expensive as they are billet and not a regrind like the pipers...Ben's put alot of work into the development of his profile and imho his are best. Rmcardal's car runs crazy power considering its not running ITB's! I think Andy at GDI is wanting to change his Shrick's for Ben's also.

Cams are easy enough to fit, we've been fitting them for yrs...We've got the tools for TDC. But i wouldn't feel happy about doing it to my own car! lol. Argh.
