The search function is a brilliant tool, but just for you...

When you ordered your new 182 you could choose between 2 cup packs as optional extras. Any 182 with both cup packs is reffered to as full fat. This is why 172ffs don't exist.

But its a term made up by forum members.

So if enough people believe there is a 172ff, it exists... ;)

You will also get a load of bellends coming on telling you ff172's don't exist.

They'd rather type out i've got a 172 with all the toys instead of just ff172, in reality there is a ff172, everyone knows that if someone says ff172 they mean they have an 03 or later with all the toys, cruise control, the works on.

So although when someone says "ff172" everyone knows what they mean, a select few who have nothing better to do than scream OMGZ FF172 DNT EXIST NOOB LOLOLOLZORZZZZZZZ will moan about it. Even though it has a definition and people understand what they are referring to, i am not sure why it cannot exist.

So whats wrong with 172, or 172 cup?

And then is causes issues with people calling none cup packed 182s "182 ff without cup packs"

172 cups are all the same iirc so yes.

172 has so many variations, ph1,ph2, various different extras that have been added through its life, so not all 172's are the same!

what?

ph1 172

172

and 172 cup?

What other version is there? How would calling it a ff tell me if it's the version with traction control or without?

Do i need to write it 1 word per line or something?

Early ph2's have different extras (no cruise control, traction control and a few other things) than later ones, an FF172 is a later one with ALL the extras that you could possibly get, basically all the ones that a non "ff" 182 has.

Now i've never heard that definition before!

so there is the

172 cup
172

172f with traction control

172ff with traction and cruise

172fff with traction, cruise, cd changer

172 ffff with traction, cruise, cd changer and sat nav

is each f and option extra?

I'm right, it's been decided by CS democracy in the poll posted above.

  53 Clio's & counting
Early ph2s have no traction control and no esp,no cd changer also no climate control iirc, later ph2' 172s have all of that

thats the only difference as far as im aware

All ph2's had Climate.

Early one's had a cd changer, but no ESP.

Then there were a few around July 02 that had ESP and changer.

Then they got rid of changer, had ESP but added Cruise and Speed limiter.

Exactly.

thats the difference between 172 and 172ff.

Everyone knows this, so why say it can't exist, when it clearly can.

I've never heard of, or seen anyone use that definition of FF before

What about the 172 Cup with Climate Control? Half Fat or Semi Skimmed?

172 Cup CC HF or 172 Cup CC SS

172 ph1

172

172 Cup

182

182 ff

182 Cup

182 Trophy

If you can't grasp that and want to add others. You're an idiot.

Rollo is right. You're wrong. It is a widely accepted fact.

Not aimed at Jonathan. Christ you lot type quickly when you get worked up.

+ f*****g 1

neway, the ff was a term used to describe the cup packs on the 182. ff was never about esp/climate etc.
and as dr rollo brilliantly but sarcastically pointed out with the use of the locking wheel nuts comment, there would be too many variations.
