What the hells this..

Over the winter ive been noticing strange white marks apear on my alloys.
The surface hasnt been 'broken', so if you run your finger round the wheel its feels perfectly smooth, hard to expain :(

Pics will help im sure..

In this image the wheel hasnt been curbed at all.

This one I did curb it but its come out the same..

Anyone had an experiance of this? Can I treat it or at least stop it happening more?

Thanks :)

As above it looks like it's corroding and a pro will need to them to repair.

Have the wheels been treated with wax to protect them?

Thanks for the replys.

To clean them I usually spray some Tesco alloy wheel cleaner on, rinse, then apply some megs carnuba (sp) wax.

cant really tell much from the pic but the wheels do look like a pretty old set of wheels so i'd say it was corroding matey
