what to get or look for (I,C,E)

I currently have an old sub which is an Alpine 1500w Type R dual coil 10" sub. It has 2ohms-2ohms written on the side of the magnet.

Now, i need to find an amp but dont know which one would be best or where to go for things like a properly ported sub box.

Are alpine subs much good now days?

What other things should i go for and is second hand just as good?

I dont want to spend mega amounts, just enough to get a deep bass'y sound.
