I've lost touch with technology now but looking to buy a tv for around Christmas time or just after...

I'm after a thin tv to mount on my bedroom wall.

My bedroom is probably 3 metres wide by 6 metres long so it's not huge...

What make/size screen am I looking for?

And where is the best price to buy it from and at what cost?

6 meters long is big for a bedroom !!! its bigger than my living room almost !!

42" 1080p tv £1100 hdmi, dvi, vga, component all 1080p

IF indeed it is 11 ft viewing distance then you should be looking at a minimum of 42" and possibly more.

Depends what sources your going to be watching and whether it be SD or HD.

LCD/Plasma or DLP/SXRD Rear Projection to choose from.

edit: just noticed your bit about wall mounting:rolleyes: so forget about DLP RP:D

If your watching a lot of SD then i'd rule out LCD, imo.

I have a 37" Panny Plasma and sit around 6-7 feet way.

I'm glad I went for 37" as 42" would be too big and reveal far too many nasties in the source material unless it was HD.

I would only have gone for 42" if I could sit 9 ft way or more.
