  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
i know feek all.

i want a welder.

first mig or arc?
second what amp for stuff upto 4-5mm steel
what make for general hobby use and a bit of motorsport (making brackets etc)

ive looked in machine mart etc the clarke ones look minto.

want to spend no more than £200.. anything cheaper is better

Mig welding is always untidy though, lots of spatter.

Learn to Tig Weld, mucho neater, although its more time to actually do it.

Oh MIG is arc welding lol. Mig and Tig both use Argon as a shield to protect the weld.

Can you actually weld?

Its not really something i would suggest teaching yourself, unless you like pain.

Used to be a multi coded tig welder in oil rig construction yards ect.If you're going to teach yourself , prepare for long frustrating learning curve.

welding is great fun.. and you shouldn't be too bad with burns with mig/tig..

Tig is way better tho, more fun, brighter lights, pretty colours! lol

Is is like gas welding but using electricity instead of Oxy-Acetylene.

Lovely and neat.

Mig is pikey welding. Its manual metal arc or Tig lol.
