if i was ou i wouldnt even get a sub if your car is stripped! where abouts will the box go? it will be flying about everywhere when you turn accellerate or brake?? plus you wont even relise the extra weight anyway

How much do they weigh though?

I was goign to just going to tie it all down to all the whole left in the back since I took out the seats.

find out how much each sub weighs, how big the box is and how thick the wood is and then you can estimate how much is weighs

  Tweaked Leon Cupra R
20Kgs probably but what does it matter.. if you want bass you gain weight.. simple!

Sounds good Alex, but I have superleggys on there at the moment and IIRC they are just about the lightest alloy around?

Yeah but it will weigh around 20kg from what people have said?

I cba with that to be honest.

With a 1.2 I need as little weight as possible to get it to 60 let alone get there in a respectable time.

its not going to make no difference at all tbh. you wont notice that you have it in the car apart from a big box sitting in the back :). mine weighs alot more and ive got all my interior in and it hasnt slowed me down 1 bit

  Polo + Micra
i know the infinty kappa perfect 12 vq weights 10Kg on it's own(about the same for the 12.1) + 10Kg for the box atlest

so yeah 20Kg's is about right

also the sub isn't 500w RMS (it'll be 400 at the most;) )
