What would YOU do..? [Upgrade/mod]

Well basically, I've got my Clio which is still pretty bog standard, and I'm after advice.

What part(s) would you add, and what mod(s) would you do?

It's a 1.4 2001 Mk 2 Ph 1 Clio Alize.

I'm quite a noobie at car upgrading, and I thought the best way to teach myself was get advice on parts etc, and learn by taking it apart, and trying to put it back together.

I am more after exterior upgrades to start with, before I start messing with the engine!

Obvious one is upgrade to the PH1 172 bumpers possibly a MK2 172 rear bumper, RS interior can be picked up for reasonable money

and for engine mods really really don't bother your just wasting money

I spent loads only first car, a 1.2 MK2 Clio, then sold it for peanuts.. Enjoy it for what it is, good MPG and invisible, doesn't stand out.

You all think its worth keeping it bog standard and getting my money back on it then?

Wouldn't mind some nicer headlights, if any of you can recommend some that that would fit my vehicle and not break the bank?

Save up for another car.

You could throw a few £k at wheels/bumpers + paint, exhaust/filters/cams etc and you'll still get overtaken by a diesel Fiesta.

Ph1 172 are very easy to find for £1k or less now.

Why ??? If it's not broke, don't try to fix it !

Good grief.

I don't mean break it, but if I was going to change the bumper, the only way to learn is read about it and do it myself.

Honestly just dont bother, wait until you can afford to insure a 172/182 as its all money down the drain on your current car, sorry but thats the harsh truth. 172/182's are cheap as chips, even with decent miles, I would only get around 2.5/3k for mine on 40k. Saying all that, I did exactly the same but now I know better! Well at least I think I do :D

If you can't afford to buy/insure/run a newer/faster car then all the usual.
Dual optics, some 15" etc.
Few hundred quid and done.
