As above i think i seen a mk2 on a y reg clio, and i know the mk 1 was also on a y reg, so did it appear on the y or is this a private number plate

I have seen a few also on a Y before.

My Mk1 is a Mar 01 Y plate (one of the last made) but I have also seen Mk2 on a plate of the same year.

Day172 - If your car is the one under your name, would that not be classed as a mk2? It looks like the newer shape same as mine, not the original phase 1. Mine is the more rounded shape on an S plate and i always thought that was a Mk2

Dude, hes refering to the 172 model.

My car btw is a Mk2 like you said but is often refered to as the Mk1 or Phase 1 172.

Gets confusing eh!

I have 172 phase 2 rear lights just to add to the issue
