MY MATES LOOKING TO BUY A 172 MK2 IN SILVER WITH LOW MILLAGE HES GOT A BUGET OF £6500.He was wondering should he buy one know or wait for the new rs to come out what you think?

He should get a good example for that sort of money, i wouldn't worry to much about the millage though as long as it's been serviced from Renault and looked after.

My 172s now done just over 50K and she now feels faster then she did at around the 44K mark.

Buy one now . Imo the new rs won't really affect the price of 172 / 182's . Its a completely different car which personally from what i've seen i'm not really keen on .
I much prefer the shape of the 172/182 and i would imagine that there are alot of people who will stick with the mark 2 rs rather than buy the new mk3 therefore keeping prices stable .

I agree mate, imo the new Mk3 Renault Sport isn't as good looking as either a 172 or 182, so the value of them should hold pretty well.

I live just outside Winchester and they are quite common around here, most days i see one or to 172s 182s.
