What You think to the Clio GT

Hello was wondering what you guys think to the Clio GT 128?
I recently wrote of my old car Peugeot 1.6 GT Turbo and now looking for a new one! I do like the look of the clio GT.
The reason i picked the clio GT over higher models is just because of the fact now my insurance is killing me and need something thats nippy but not to expensive to insure What do you guys recon? If anyone has any images of there own clio GTs feel free to post them!
Also wondering if anyone has any vids (links) of any clio gts with exhausts/induction kits on them cant find many on youtube tbf!

Is the 128 the 2.0?

If so, high insurance and tax for little performance, get the 1.6 DCi and map it to 120/130bhp or hold off for a proper RS clio

1.6 mk3 clio's are dreadful. Absolutely no torque and the most horrid gearbox known to man.

You looked at a Twingo RS? I'd much rather have one of them than a non RS Clio.

Ive looked at them but i dunno if im 100% i like them! :S unsure just yet lol!

Why did Renault make a 1.6 and a 2.0 with similar bhp outputs? Very odd IMO.

Standard renault petrol engines are a bit gash, as I said, go DCi or RS mate

I'd get something cheaper until insurance is reasonable on a decent car. The gt is crap.

I can see no logical reason why someone would choose the petrol over the diesel. The diesels are superior in every way. (If nobody has noticed, I detest the 1.6vvt engine! lol)

the 1.6 GT has the 6 speed clio 200 box though!


as already said, the DCi is the one to go for, 1.6 VVT is pretty gutless in the twingo never mind the Clio 3!

Its not too bad. Certainly gives 197s and 200s a fair run for their money
