Whats it worth (182)

Just trying to get a value for a black-gold 182, totally standard no cup packs. It’s a 54 plate (registered in November 2004) and has just hit 62,000 (motorway) miles with a full Renault service history.

Thanks.

Yeah it’s tricky there is one on Autotrader for £9490 with 42k on it but thats trade not private although its an 04 reg so slightly older.

Should point out it’s not an import and is from a main Renault dealer.

I would be tempted to put in @ £7,995 for better chance of selling or maybe £8,295 looking to get 8 ish.

BTW - The BIG SERVICE aint to far off either. That will put peeps off if they know their stuff

I would get rid of mine between 50-60 OR with 3-6 months warranty left if i still have it then.

I got £8,750 for a 182 WITH cup packs (deffo makes a difference on resale) witn 30,000 miles.

I think youd be looking at 7-7.5 if your lucky.

8k tops i would say, dealer only offered me 9.2 k for my mint 182 with only 8k miles and cup packs, and that was a while back, glad i only paid 10.5 k new :D

Halfed in value in one year? Ouchie!
That is part of the problem tho.

Renault have killed the 2nd hand market by ALWAYS discounting the 172/182. Do you know anyone that has paid list price?

IMO nearer £7k - the Cup packs are essential for resale, plus how do you do 250 miles a day, every day?!
i used to do over 400 miles a day (in company 307 diesel), more sometimes, but yeh agree i think i would have a diesel for those miles

Yeah I appreciate the warranty is up – that’s why it’s being sold.

Two return trips from Aberdeen to London a week + general driving soon racks up the miles I suppose. I’m thinking a Golf GT TDI 2.0 or an Audi A3 TDI 2.0 Sport might be better as should save in fuel and hopefully will hold more of there value.

Alternatively I have a very silly idea about getting a low mile Jaguar XJR supercharger. They have already done there depreciation, think you will only loose £1,000 - £1,500 depreciation in 12 months / 60k however fuel and servicing will cost a bit more. Looking at it though I’m not convinced overall it would cost that much more than the 182! Only worry is no warranty (which is why the Clio is going) but there supposed to be bullet proof (something with I don’t think can be said about the Clio).

get something thats got a diesel vag engine and get it revod, 200bhp no probs :D and still over 60mpg on long journeys
