I have a Mk1 Ph2 1.4RT Clio and was just wondering roughly how much you think I could reasonably expect to get for it. The car is a 1996 N reg in Naples Red. It is currently on 68,000 miles. The engine runs sweet as a nut and it's just been serviced including timing belt, spark plugs, oil and filter change, air filter change etc. It's also just had a new hub (well not brand new but the old one replaced) and bearing on the passenger side. It's MOT'd till next may and it is taxed till end of Nov but would probably have 6 months more than that if I came to sell. The car has full service history and to my knowledge no major accident damage.
The interior of the car is in mint condition and it comes with just the standard head unit. The only thing that really lets it down is the paintwork and bodywork. There are a couple of dings (small ones) on the passenger and drivers side door (just car park dings) but no more dents that I can think of. One of the rear arches is JUST starting to rust (no bubbling or anything as it really is JUST starting to go) and the only other rust on the bodywork is two pund coin sized patches (again just surface rust) on the drivers side door sill (so not visible). The paintwork at the front is a bit chipped and on the front left of the bumper a little paint has flaked off. At the moment the car has a stainless steel cat back exhaus and decat fitted but there is a good chance that I would refit the original if selling and sell it seperately.
What do you think this car would be worth roughly? I have a rough figure in my head but just wanted to see what the general opinion was.
I know all the detail isn't really of much use but I may put it in the for sale section soon so just thought I would write a detailed description now and it would save me time later.
If anyone is interested BTW send me a PM (I'm based in Edinburgh) and I would maybe consider selling it now instead of in a couple of months.
