Whats the difference between v and w rated PE2's?

As above, whats the difference between the V and W rated PE2's, I know my car came with W rated tyres originally but the V's are about £10 a tyres cheaper.

V are rated to 149mph W to 168mph so either is more than enough for the Clio.

I thought the Clios came with V rated PE2s.
