i'd definately go for a remap on any car over a generic chip. but thats just personal opinion.

Chip is usually just slang for remap.

But a tuning box is different, and just increases the fuel pressure to get more power. Not good imo.

BNot all tunning boxes just up the pressure.

I agree though a proper remap is so much better anyway.

So I'm lead to believe, unless they have the power to plug into the ECU and perform changes though it'll never be the same.

Plus it's a visible mod under the bonnet, which is one of the good things about a remap.

Some trick the injectors for longer flow etc. Other trick the temp sensors.

Its one of the disadvanatges though cannot sell a remap on a tunning box can be also can be removed easily.
