whats the fastest NA clio in the uk?

  182
hmm un driveable 350bhp car?? mapping a turbo car is a art!;) and turbo cars chav? have u seen how many chavs own N/A cars? with v-tec yo.? i think you will find all the FASTEST cars are turbos. id rather have alittle lag with a turbo then never ending lag with N/A lol.

there is nothing wrong with N/A. it justs cost alot of money to not go that fast.but yes a high reving car sounds nice.

350bhp turbo in FWD is not going to drive as nice as my ITB'd Clio. I'll peel all my skin off and roll around in salt if it's anywhere near as usable lol.

horses for courses, I like high revving N/A power and in a car as light as a Clio ITB's are enough to see of most things and more importantly, have loads of fun in :)

Anyway, going back on topic, Foxon's car will also be up there with the quickest NA's, as will Lucky's... thinking about it GDI have done a s**t load more ITB'd engines that the owners of dont even come on here. I know of one ITB'd engine producing whopping power that would spank any and every car mentioned so far... but in the world of Clio Sport Martin's old time is the one to beat... only problem there is getting it down to equal weight to level the playing field... not happening, so only answer is more power lol

yes thats fair anuff mate.i like high reving n/a cars also.

8k rpm.. turbo civic lol? joke....;)

i would like to think i would stand a good chance once im finished.

what against that civic or for the quickest NA title?

tbh, it's all funding dependent, but I suppose all it takes is one of the tuners to just go all out and build a total beast. Andy's if he puts that on bodies would be the quickest so far though, and easily imo as it rapes mine on single body... no mean feat when I shift gear at twice the speed due to his clutch and fucked gearbox lol

well the monkey will be the N/A builder spending thousands of pound never to see 300bhp or close?. where u can get it easy with a turbo.

You can get about 350hp out of the F4R but its not cheap even with out boost.

I think I remember of hearing of a 270hp N/A Clio 2.0 tunned not sure exact spec but from what I remember was expensive race engine so could have had a special box so would possible be the quickest if setup for it.

yup that's correct, over 230bhp on single body... I have a vid of mine against it but I wont be posting it up here lol.

turbo's are great for chavs that like to "wind up da boost y0!",

When you fitting your turbo then? ;)

Yozzas stripped out cup is the fastest surely. Lightest weight of any of the other mk2 ITB'd cars on cliosport. The AWT mk1 is very lightweight and stripped so maybe thats quicker.

JRs Vee :clown: shame hes too old to go fast in it. Also what do they weigh? About 1400kg.

300/1.4 = 214bhp/ton not exactly a stripped out lightweight is it.

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
mines down to about 850kgs now + the cage (30kgs) so 880kgs

hoping for 250 n/a

so power to weight would be.....

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 250
Weight without Driver (KG) : 880
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 288.65
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.62
0 - 100 (Secs) : 10.946
0 - 100 (Secs) : 6.31
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.97
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 108.90
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.77
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 110.94

It sure is too fast for little old me. This car makes me light headed at high speeds lol

Oh and the engine cover alone weighs about 1400kg;)

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
throw in MR en two ow

= 350hp

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 350
Weight without Driver (KG) : 880
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 404.11
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.17
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.186
0 - 100 (Secs) : 5.02
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.42
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 116.28
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.22
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 118.45

Aldi specials.

not sure CAT ones.. ben had them made/bought them

Find out the code for them, it will give you an excuse to check on progress ;).

Depending on cams I would say more like 240bhp. Is he doing the power run at Mass? Thats worth another 20bhp at least.

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172

check the part numbers, as Ben fooled me into thinking the cams were his 'own design and profile' and were just off the shelf jobs from CAT.

LOL ive got 3 indpendants lined up!

have you had it RR'd before it went off to Ben so you have something to measure against, as you wont be able to tell if they are reading high or low or spot on... I recommend RE Performance in Bury, not the best setup I've seen, but the results seem in line with what you would realistically expect and are consistent.

Mark, you're no spring chicken yourself I hear, and whats this about you taking a handbag/satchel everywhere you go? someone told me you were straight? :quiet:

yer the engine sucked mens c***s.

had it done at system R and minispeed

one was 163 hp and the other was 167....

was a poor poor engine. it had had a cambelt snap at one point too. pistons were goofed :/

that's not too bad really, I thought average was only 166ish?

will be a totally different animal after anyway, say goodbye to peaky power delivery :)
