Whats this?

A dumb question to most of you no doubt, but I've only just started trying to do a proper job of washing my car so thought i'd ask here.

What is this mark on my paint? Is it just polish that i havent buffed off properly? I polished it with Auto glym Super Resin polish on friday, if it is just polish how can i get rid of it? Will it just buff off? Wash off? If not will it need claying?

The polish looked as though it was all taken off when I did it, maybe it wasnt how do you know if it is? (That seems such a stupid question)

Judging by the stain on the trim, I'd say polish that has been left on too long... looks to be in the same area...

If you used SRP, use it again, but make sure you fully remove it this time. It will be fine. Don't fret.

Right so I used more SRP as advised and it took away the marks temporarily but now its got worse.

What can I do to get rid? Someone said just use tcut but don't really like using it.
