Whats Wrong with my car now

i was sitting at the lights with car in first gear and foot on clutch all the way down. showing off to my son i was gonna rev it so it bounced off the limiter but at about 6k revs the car started to pull away but it was juddering. there was a light slightly flickering on the dash but it didnt stay on long enough for me to see what it was. Why would this happen?

wouldnt i be able to smell it thou? why is it only pulling high up in the revs?
