Whats your best Mpg.

My girlfriend drove our Clio Mk2-172 from Winchester to Bristol and back, and she managed 42 mpg

My best is 33mpg i was wondering what other Clio drivers get on long journeys?

I wish i could average around the 40mpg mark, i wouldn't have to spend so much time at petrol stations,but I just can't resist booting it in second.

I got 42mpg Bournemouth to Westbury (about 60 miles) in my Cup, its pretty easy to do if you really want to be economical. Average is about 33 though.

Best to work out a reading from fuel used if possible, the trip computer is a rough guide at best!

I think thats pretty good for a performance car

I know its not a Clio, but I managed to get 35 mpg from my 328i Auto on the motorway when I went to collect it, was a nice suprise, I was expecting crap!
Im about 24-28 normal.

My average is about 35mpg, once I filled the 182 up with optimax and set off from the petrol station (its straight onto a sixty road) and drove about 5 miles to my mums house (drove like a grandad) and the mpg on the trip counter was on 53mpg!

just had the 182 for a few days but driving roughly between 30 and 40 i am getting between 28.7 - 30.1, mpg,

not sure if that is good or not, but after all its a 2ltr so you know when you buy it that its going to drink petrol, not too much i hope!!! lol

48 mpg in my 172, thats doing 50-60 on the motorway and keeping it in the highest possible gear all the way.Was too tired to drive fast that day.

60mpg (it was still going up from the 55.8I'd been getting in the Uk) on a 80mph constant run for a few hours in Europe.
Best on the drive home has been 82 or so.
Still I get 55.5 all the reat of the time and I boot it everywhere tyres only last 12k.
I've seen well over 100mpg (could be 200mpg) when crawling in 5th at almost idle.

37mpg for the first week I had my 172 MkII, over one hundred miles of motorway,.. private motorway, I averaged 33mpg and an average of 87 mph.

Combination of all road/traffic types I get a constant 34-35mpg. Cheapest and fastest car I've run

So far its been on 35.5, 35.6 and 35.4

Hardly ever changes though. Is this right? I was expecting it to update quite regularly. Any way to reset it? Can't be bothered with manuals tonight - information overload!

Best 38mpg, steady/boring on the motorway! Average is 30mpg and worst was 16 on the track...best fun though!

Chris, just press the button between the clocks... will reset it all! Assuming it's the same as mine. The reading will change a lot when reset but settles as the mileage goes up! Enjoy

manchester to cobham(sp?) and back in one day for the used car buyer mag shoot and i used 3/4 tank using a diesel gearbox (100mph in 4th @ 4'000rpm just to give an idea...). as witnessed by Northy, Flaming Monkey and 2 live. dunno what the mpg works out as, too wasted to work it out
