Wheel refurb cost & recommendations Central Scotland?

Alrighty

Looking at buying a set of wheels. Waiting for the pics from the seller but apparently they're in need of a refurb. I've read a few of the guides but I wish I had the patience and time to do that.

1/ What should a basic refurb cost? I'd just be looking at sorting the scratches, no colour change.

2/ Can anyone recommend a good place in the Central Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh/Dundee) area?

3/ Spray or powder coat? - explain to me please LOL

Just trying to suss out if they're worth getting or whether the refurb costs are too much to make them worthwhile (asking price is £150 plus postage, no tyres, for std 15" VW alloys)

Cheers
Ally :)

another thumbs up for recoat

got mine powdercoated and tyres fitted for £150

Cheers for the recommendations.

£150 isn't bad but the cost of the wheels initially hardly makes it worthwhile: £180 for the wheels posted, £150 for refurb, £200 for tyres. Ouch.

I'll maybe hold off for a better condition set that don't need refurbed.
