Wheel Refurb - Question (with pics)

Hey all. Picked up my new car on Tuesday, and one of the things I wanted sorted by the dealer was the wheels as there was some kerbing (not deep, just scuffs) on the face of three of them. So, here are the results:

As you can see, there are marks under the lacquer. I don't know if anyone is familure with these wheels, but they are machine finished on the front, and not painted before lacquering. I complained about them and they are sending someone out to have a look and possibly do them again. But my question is, now that the finish has gone from the wheel, is there anything that can really be done? I don't want the guy trying again and making them even worse.

Cheers!

hmm, think you'd stuggle to get that out, is it a brand new car? I'd ask for new wheels!

No it's a year old otherwise I would have been asking. Tbh I knew when I bought it that it would probably turn out like this, but thought I'd do a bit of investigating anyway.

polished wheels like that are a nightmare to get right!

we normally end up renewing them if they are damaged

Do you reckon I should just tell them not to bother trying again then? If that was their first effort, the second surely is not going to be much better.

i would explain to them that they are welcome to have another go, but if you still aren't happy will they renew the wheel?

see what they say
