Wheel Sealant?

At the weekend am going to be doing my first bit of detailing to my car
when it comes to the wheels so far I only have bilberry cleaner so what wax/sealant should I use after it poorboys?

I could do a search but am on my mobile so can't be bothered.

awaiting words of wisdom.

The poorboys seen some on eBay for £12 but its only 8oz any better places to get it? Or is that good?

Will look at that link when am home, can't do it on my mob.

The last time I bought it, it was circa £15 delivered, and that was before the VAT increase.

Polished Bliss with their free shipping would be my suggestion, but you've mentioned you want to do it this weekend, which the 3-5 working day shipping won't guarantee...

Yeah this weekend would be ideal might see if eBay has any for next day delivery.

If not what could I buy from a store which is decent?

No idea what stores are local to you buddy. From Halfrauds, probably not a lot... maybe a metal sealant like NXT Gen Metal Sealant... if they do one? But you'd be just wasting money.

Ok I will order the poorboys and just hope it gets here in time.

Can the poorboys be applied straight to a brand new rim, or must it be waxed first?

I dont have much wax, and nothing really suitable for white.

The PB stuff mate should just go straight on after it's been washed and dried, the sealent is the "wax".

Ah, so i should apply the poorboys to the clean rim. Then wax on top, or will the pb be enough?

I was reading on a detailing shop that you should wax then PB :S

No, PB is the wheel sealent, that's really all that should be on the rim. Sealents don't sit on top of waxes.

Wash and de-grease the new rim though or the durability of the Sealent might be affected.

What can i use as a degreaser from around the house? Will a weak dilution of fairy do, or is there something in fairy thats frowned upon?

I want to prep them now, so i cant wait for more stuff to be delivered.

Edit: Or could i just use a weak dilution of car shampoo?

This PB stuff smells amazing btw!

Took 2 hours so it better make a big difference when cleaning them!
