Wheels and lowering

Hi,

Could somone tell me whether or not 18 inch alloys will go on a 172 and if they do, how far can I lower it without causing problems.

The correct width and offset will go on with probably upto a 40mm without arches needing work. However youd be a complete idiot to fit them the car will handle terribly and the ride quality will be abysmal. If you want to impress kids at maccys fit 18s if you plan to drive it stick to 17s or preferably 16s.

put 17s on they look a nice size and dont effect handling too much
