Wheels

Hi i just signed up, im buying my first car within the next couple of weeks probably a 1.4 Clio Dynamique quite frustrated at car insurance coming from an R6 i like speed lol. Anyway my question is i dont want to keep the stock alloys, whats best to go for 16s or 17s, do i need to change anything to fit 17s?

Cheers,

Ross

Thanks guys, not too sure about your wheels but cheers anyway lol...if i got 17s what do you recommend on lowering? I dont want it too low etc, just so the wheels look right ;)

well. people say that "17s kill the ride" i havent noticed that at all really.

17s look great, agreed that on standard suspension they look poop, but if your lowering it then getting wheels, make sure that you get the correct offset else itll rub the arches etc.

for the dynamique people recommend ET38, ive got ET42 with 40mm drop at the front and 60mm at the rear with no rubbing.. but the springs have got to settle a bit still.

Ok thanks, are 16s ok to put straight on? Not decided yet on which size keep changing my mind, i like the 16s price though lol:D

Ive been looking on performancealloys.com and the 16s are all cheaper than 17s...although some OZ were more expensive 16inch than BBS but less expensive than the BBS in 17s.
