When is the new RS Clio here?

What is the latest about the new Renaultsport Clio?
Autocar reckon it is available January but not seen anything to confirm that.

Any info appreciated.

Yep, 3 door non RS is next week. 5 door is in November and the RS III is early summer 2006.

I don't like the look of the none RS Mk3, I was a bit disapointed when I saw it, then I saw a pic of the new RS and that looked great!

Yep, as above - about middle of next year but tbh i'll wait till early 2007 if i'm gonna consider one 'cos they'll of ironed out all the problems hopefully

Hmmm... will I be a dumass, and buy something that's relatively new? Or wait until they bring-out cupped versions?

New Clio RS is on the forecourts in May. I work at a Renault dealership and when I went on the training course about the new clio I was told this by one of the launch team. He also said it's gonna be 198bhp and there will be no V6 because the previous one was developed/built by TWR in sweden and they've gone bust.

LOL, they haven't ironed out the current cars problems after several years and a few models LOL, I still love it though!

well saying that with the V6 going, word has it that Renault is bringing back the Alpine name, so no doubt a big turbo engined RWD monstor is going to be in the pipeline

I've got a 30 min test drive which my dealer booked for me. Prefer the look of the RS. Hopefully I can test drive this one on my own like I did the 1.2 and take it via country lanes again

I agree mate, not really loving the new shape, and thought how could I ever upgrade my 172 to that in a few years, but then also saw the RS and thought hmmmm maybe. It does look pretty good

Thinking of changing cars within 6 months so guess just wait and see. If it IS March then might be OK, but if it is summer+ may look elsewhere.
