i used to be able to get 120 in my MK 1.4 but drivin home last night racing down the A12 wit my bro in his CUP and i couldnt get ne more than !05

i didnt think 17s would take my top speed away that much!

the !05 is also including the readin of the speedo after i added the 8% its out by!

17s, new brakes all round, new clutch thats bout it really

might av been an off day for my little beast!

ill try again later but i werent happy as i was tryin to race a corsa 1.4 sport which i used to av and i know there top speed is !22

My RT only has 15s on and maxes out at just over 100! TBH it takes so long to get to that speed, I rarely bother.

Im on 16s and it just has no top speed anymore, I dont bother either... Look at it this way... All those people overtaking us will get a much better look at our rims!

Had mine up to 115 on 15s, only got decat, filter and straight thro zorst. 17s will take a lot away though and with every Reno, they have good and bad days!!

with the 17s u could b doin faster than ur speedo shows as they act as a larger final gear.it depends on where ur car takes its speedo reading from

as i said the speedo said i was doing 98 so 8% on top of that makes bou !05

i aint bothered too much coz i rarely doin over a ton ne way coz no point in gettin a ban and my acceleration is jus as good on 17s as it was on 15s!

ne way of gettin my speedo re-caliberated?

I got 118 out of the valver on the way back from Mansfield had to slow down As I was getting carried away, felt like it had 135 poss out of it. 17s do slow it down. those 15s that I got of you make the car so much quicker in higher gears. Last run at pod/york crossing the line just changing up to 4th. 15s changing up to 4th 60-70 yards before line. time came down by .3 , getting a great start fast gearchanges plus 15s and it dropped .7 But it f**ked the engine mounting, so it like poping out of second gear now.

whered u buy those wheels from i got coz i need some hub rings for em!

The hub rings are called spigot o-rings. As for the wheels there came on the car when I bought the 19. It only came with one when I got it, I had two spare. but I think youve lost them. had a quick look on the web looks like you can get em here http://www.speedshack.co.uk/Wheelnuts.htmhttp://www.speedshack.co.uk/Wheelnuts.htm It should be ok without as whelbolt will pull the wheel in the middle. How much did it cost to have some new 17" tyres fitted. ? as there not cheap .
