Where can i get one of these for my 182 (pic)

I am mounting a bullet cam outside the car and need a place to mount a recorder/screen. Its a hand held recorder and i was thinking of putting it here. Where can i get a new one of these so i can drill holes in it etc?? (the cup holder)

Its possible, I've done it, but don't expect it to be easy or painless.

ye ive done it, just use the grommet hole for the bonnet catch, ive put a few wires through there successfully

Well yes I'd imagine pushing a few wires through would be easy, its not when they have plastic connectors on them for bullet cams. It is, in fact, almost impossible.

yes im planning on mounting a bullet cam someone in the front of my 182.

so need a single 4 strang cable to go into the glove box of cup holder area.

well by what i understand, another guys saying the cable ends are to big to fit through the hole, but if your good at soldering, or re joining the wires,just cut them in half,and then reconnect inside, the only way other way i think you could do this is by taking off dash to find a suitalbe area to run the cables to and from, but most people use that grommet for amp cables.

i cut all the connectors off the camera

why you need to cut holes in it?the cable can be placed behind the area without trapping cables

i dont need to cut holes.

what im after is a way of getting a single cable from the engine bay into the car. I have a 30gb hard drive the bullet cam records onto, i want to put this in the glove box. The recorder needs power and a connection to the camera. the camera needs 12v to power it.

anyone got any pics or a simple diag of where a hole is located on a 182 to take a single cable from the engine bay into the car???

well defo use the bonnet cable grommet,this can be found on the passenger side, right up under the foot well,and then the 12v you can either use the 12v from the head unit,or ive used the cigarette lighter cable for a source, just put a simple switch in if you dont want it on the all the time

im not to sure what matts on about though

ok cheers mate, im gona take 12v straight from the batt, unless i can get to the back of the cigarette lighter?

ye,if your going to pull out your cup holder,you should be able to get to the wires,if you need to know which wires you need,give us a shout mate

ummm i might not pull the cup holder out now, i might put it in the glove box.

just drill a tiny hole in one of the corners to out the wire through

i did some pics of the engine bay yesterday let me just upload them
or not as they are pretty naff!!!
