Where does this wire go

I have just changed my alternator from a cup set up back to a 182 set up due to fitting a supercharger, I have a wire from the alternator loom but can't see where to put it, it is the copper wire covered with a black sheath. It may have the wrong connector on the end as my cup set up was a patten part.

That's definitely not the standard connector.

My bet is it's the little black wire and push connector that goes into the LHS of the alternator. Might be the earth for it?

Was thinking it might be the earth, should have a ring connector I think and go's beside the battery connector maybe.

Nope, other side of the alternator completely.

You can't see the connection from the front side..

Can't see one on the other side, is it at the top bottom left or right.
