where is a 172 starter motor@?

where is it? had a quick look but cant seem to see it. ino its probably infront of me

Down the back of the engine, near where the manifold bolts to the back of the engine.

Back of engine. In front of driver.

Under the exhaust manifold, and hidden under a heatshield,,

^ lol ive just tryed to hap it to make sure it was engaged properly and couldnt get it with a pole

What's the best way of getting to this?

Will have my car up on a lift later so want to try clean the solenoid while it's up
