where is solenoid valve

yes im dumb and dont know much but can you help me with the above

apparently its sticking and thats why my car wont start :S

Does it just click when you turn the key to start the engine?

yeah! cant jump start it,its my bros 7 yr old 172 so might just need whole new battery do you reckon?

Well you could do yeah but if the solenoid is sticking hit the starter motor with a rubber mallet or something similar and see if it will start then.

Do all the electrics work ok?
