Where is the chassis number on a 172?

i think it is in a couple of places - on the sticker or plaque inside the drivers door, and also on a plaque on the dashboard - passenger side ( assuming it's a ph 2 one that is )

the main chassis number is under the carpet under the drivers side seat

on my ph2 the only place i could find it was on the door pillar...
