Where to buy genuine Renault parts for 172 (Cup)

  172 Cup
Hi, I’ve not been on here in a while but have recently bought myself a 172 Cup after catching the Renaultsport bug again (I’ve had a valver, williams 2, 182 and Ph1 172 over the years). I always fancied a cup since they first came out, and when one came up for sale locally I thought it was as good a time as any to try one before prices get any higher.

Anyway, it needs a few small things doing to it to tidy it up a bit over the winter and I was wondering where’s the best place to get standard parts? Or am I best off just going to nearest Renault dealer / Specialist?

It’ll be getting booked into SWR or Rentec in the spring to get the belts and dephaser done too but I can do the other parts myself in the meantime.

cheers
Ross

Welcome mate

It depends what you're looking for, most parts that have Renault stamps aren't actually made by Renault so try not to get sucked into that.

These are 4 people I use for any genuine parts. BTT Motorsport supply used parts too

Paul @renaultpartsdirect
@Kev@KAM - KAM Racing
Matt @ MND Motorsport
Tom @ BTT Motorsport

Thanks mate, once I’ve put a list together of what I need, I’ll give those folk a shout.

I found the renaultspartsdirect a few weeks and managed to get new cup pillar badges as those were missing. I think I bought the gear knob top from them too. Unfortunately it looks like the old one has been glued on.

On another note, could a mod please move this thread to the correct section.

take it you are in scotland if using rentec/swr. im in edinburgh and have used both over the years. get a thread up in the projects threads look forward to seeing your progress.

Depending on what you are looking for, check out Renomotive on FB. Stu is based in Fife and has a shed full of (mostly used) Clio parts.

I also use SWR and the guys are top knotch.
