where to get Clio Mesh Grill

Hi Everybody - im new here. Not sure if this is just 182/172 or other Clios are allowed.

Ive just purchased a brand new Clio 1.2 Expression black and im loving it! Just want to know if anyone here knows where i can get a mesh grill for the clio or if its even possible? ive looked online and not found anything. Is this something i could do myself? (DIY) where do i get the mesh from?

get some expensive mesh like that fitted to jaguars rather than the chickenwire sh*t you normally see fitted to maxxed motors bought from halfords or DIY stores.

yeah thats the MS one...but f00k me am i paying that much for a grille insert.

you can mesh it yourself, its a bit of a b*****d though.

that k-tec doesnt really look like the standard mesh grill ive been seeing on 206s! i just like the standard grill mesh.....

and no way would i pay THAT much for these grills from KTEC! heh.

so anyone help me on getting my clio her first mod? (actually, my first mod was the headlight protectors that i got off eBay!)

that wont fit a non 172 Eves.

so how do i do it then? and where do i get the mesh? is it just standard chicken mesh wire? heh...

the upper grill does fit any clio but it aint cheap either...

the picture is of a lower grill.

you should be able to fit it using P38/40 (i forget which). basically buy your mesh thencut it to the size reqd, position it behind the bumper bending the edges round to shape it round to the bumper then use the P38/40 like a glue to bond it to the bumper.

im sorry - im a total newbie...and this is my ever car! but im hooked and i want to mod the car as much as i can...unfortunately..id spent the money for the 17" alloys weeks before i got the car! :-( so that will have to wait till next month!

P38/40 is a a fibreglass/filler that you can get from halfords and other places you need the smoother of the two it will say which is which on the container. tigerseal (a type of sealant bodyshops use) might also work to glue it on.

might be worth PMing final maxim, he works in a bodyshop and will be better at suggesting what to use for the best results.
