wheres about is the oilcap/dipstick on 172?

very new to site/having car just wondering if the oilcap/dipstick is under the cover in the enginebay?

On my 182 (so ill asume its the same) the oil cap is under the engine cover. The dipstick is quite difficult to find and is not in the best position. Its sort of in the middle at the front of the eninge bay but it is quite low down

Oil cap is bright yellow and under a "lift off" panel on the engine cover.

Oil filler cap under the engine cover, there is a flap to get to it without removing the whole cover.

Dipstick is at front of the engine, hiden by the fuel rail cover, look down and you will see it, it bright yellow.

Is it the crap dipstick or me? but my oil level doesn't seem to be going down after months of driving. Going by the dipstick, it's going up :/

Just be careful when your accessing the oil filler cap . Lots of people brake the clip under the little cover .I always take the engine cover off , 4 torx screws 2 mins of a job .

Agree with Billy....the oil filler flap on the engine cover is very prone to snapping.
