check the headlight earths, they are behind the headlight itself - put the good bulb in the unit thats flickering to rule out a starter/ computer problem
Hmm could be related as the UCH is responsible for turning them on and for the auto lights. Although i'd go with it being more local to the actual light tbh.
this afternoon i tried the other headlight ballast and the light still flickered or did not come on without engine running.
Looks like the headlight has to come out and inspect resistors/wiring within the headlight because the headlight is getting all the power needed. tested it with meter.
looks like loose/dry wire/connection is probably likely.
Anyone know how to take bumper off?
use the search function mate but basically 2 plastic clips at the top 2 10mm bolts at the bottom section wheel arch liners 2 T20 screws each, 2 little metal clips (1 eirther side) clipping it to the wing, and 2 10mm bolts (1 eirther side)
I've never known of xenon problems from the UCH. Take the ballast pack off the back, clean up all the connections, if necessary leave them on a radiator overnight, (done this many times with Lag2's) re-seal them with silicone and get them back on. Technically, they've got they're own computer aswell.
