Which compact digital camera? (£100-£150)

I'm looking for a compact digital camera to carry around (since my Canon 5D is far too bulky for that).

I've been looking at the following around the £100 mark:

Fuji F40fd
Sony DSC-W55

So, I'm interested stuff in that price/size bracket.

I'm willing to go upto £150 if the image quality is vastly superior (ie, I'm not interested in the megapixel race).


Anyone have thoughts/opinions on worthy candidates?

Ive got a Sony N2...Not sure how much there going for atm, but picture quality its ace! Im sure you could get one for around your budget.

Canon Ixus 75 ?

Got my rents this, face recognition is kind of cool, macro ability is insane, beats most my DSLR gear for close ups.

Flash off it seems very good, yet to view any images on a PC though. Sadly the flash lets it down in auto, my 4 year old Sony digital still beats it hands down. Saying that the interface is excellent.
