Which head unit (ipod compatible)

Peeps,

Looking to upgrade the headunit in the 172 to ideally Alpine but struggling to decide upon a model.

Must work with the ipod with no silly fm adaptors
Must work with the steering controls - I just find them too handy!

Apart from that, budget wise I havent a clue how much to spend but deffo no more than £200, ideally £150 bracket but bear in mind that there are some great deals around so lemmie know

I bought an Alpine 9850ri... very pleased with it, fed the Ipod connector into the glove box no probs (no cutting required). I would reccomend that stereo. To get the controlsto work you will have to buy an adaptor for £30.

ive got the touch pad one, think its 9853 and 9855r (got upgraded through halfords f**k up)

very very please with it, works a charm

ive got a 9855r love it but i need money so may be interested in selling it has the ipod adaptor but no steering controls make me a offer if your interested got all the boxes ect aswell.
