wat induction kit are you using?

i have a 2003 1.4 16v and looking to buy a kit this week jsut after opinions advice etc..

Ive just ordered a k&n induction kit from the local motorworld for my 2005 1.4 16v, it cost £90. ive done alot of searching and looks like k&N is the best for a low budget. Doesnt really increase hp at all, but sounds great, my mate has got one on his fiesta and sound norml until he hits bout 2000 revs then its a deep sound and you can hear it sucking the air in through the filter, plus not cutting or modifying your old airbox just clips on and off so you can change it back easily. When i get it fitted ill upload a vid and sum pics..

i dont fancy a k&n air filter from the research ive been doing i want a closed filter like the bmc or pipercross viper,

if i can get the bmc for 120 ish thats fine for me, did it come with all the bits to fit it etc,

deffo go for a closed type filter like the viper or bmc, the open filters such as the K&N will just suck in hot air and loose you power and torque due to the heat soak.

if noise doesnt bother you then just go for a panel filter in the standard airbox which will give a very minimal power gain.

does your bmc give a nice noise?

did until i got my exhaust.lol.mass amount of noise once they both kick in.got a vid of it on my saxo which was pretty loud,ideally id like my exhuast quieter to hear it more but thats me

so im looking at about 200 quid for a BMC with all the fittings etc?

you can bodge it with what you get for 130 but i was pedantic and wanted it looking mint.hence the massive spending on silicone hosing etc

if you do buy the bmc and decide you want the bits i have drop me a pm and ill get you sizes etc for you so all you have to do is order in the colour you want
oh and look on ebay or on here for a second hand bmc,usually mint and a bargain price
