I am looking to get an induction kit for my 172, I have been on the tinternet and reports say that they are not particularly good on clio because of the small, packed hot engine bay is this true?

If it isn't can anyone advise me one the best one to get from there own experience?

Cheers

depends on what you want it for really, I never really noticed the difference when i put an open cone filter on my 172. a few people on here have moved the battery to the boot and then bought a 45degree samco bend and located the filter where the battery used to be, then you can house it in its own box and run some good cold air feeds to it that way.

but dependes weather you want so more noise or a slim chance of a performance upgrade. ITG maxogen is aparently the induction kit to have for performance (£350 if i remember rightly)... i just got the cheapo Pipercross one just wanted some more noise...

Yeah if you wanna spend £350 on an induction kit :/ Better of upgrading your air feeds, fitting a panel filter and get matched inlets.

Standard one imo. dont waste your money cos it will make no difference apart from noise. As said above get matched inlets and a panel
