which oil? (possibly wrong section of forum)

Hi All,

My Trophy needs an oil change and i just wondered what oil people recommend?

I know its 5-40 but shall i just whack bog standard oil in or fork out for something a bit nicer?

Any recommendations?

I put Gulf Competiton oil in mine 5w-40

Was only £30 for 5L from Opie Oils.

i'd order it off OPIE but the only chance my mates got free in his workshop is tonight so im probably just gonna have to grab some from a motor factor round here!

i bought the elf renault oil last week and an oil filter, came to £34 all in, so didnt think that was too sad, considering it was a renault dealer, i didnt know what oil to use as theres alot of opinionated people on here (thinks its spelt right), so i just rung renault and went that way, then i cant go wrong lol
