i have the samsung one all be it model number Samsung LE40M87BD. The only difference is mine has a silver bit at the bottom whereas this one doesnt but their exactly the same spec.

I guess its personal preference but i think its the best looking one, im really pleased with the quality. Dont know much about the others but to be honest im not really liking sonys at the minute.

Ive got a very similiar samsung model tv and i've got no complaints. Very good picture. But i'd agree with canky's comment. Its just down to personal preference and also how many connections u'd like at the back of your tv depending on how many appliances you want to plug into it. The samsung offers alot of connnections.

sony, hands down, blacks far superiour to the others.

The m86 is an excellent set, however its getting a bit long in the tooth, the v3000 is a young set which imho is one of only a few lcd's i would bother buying.

Also dont buy into the idea that picture is vastly different between models, colour yes, but picture quality is more dependant upon source and cables used.

Samsung freeview boxes vertainly in the r88 series (not certain about m86 range) suffer from over sharpening things.
