Which Suspension

Lads ive found out my options for the suspenion for my diesel 2002 clio.......no more getting blown about my lorries on the Motorway.

The choices are

1)FK automotive coiloverkit fully adjustable ride height etc £475+ VAT

2)Spax full non adjustable kit£250

3)Koni full non adjustable Kit £350-£400

Which kit do you reckon is the best way to go as this is the first car ive lowered. I dont want it too hard cause the roads in Ireland have pot holes big enough to park clios in, and im often driving on b roads etc.

if you have the money to spend then get coilovers, i can recommend GAZ ones.....

Are coilovers not very firm and hard? LIke a race car setup??? Althought ktec did tell me they could offer me different hardneess of springs.

you can adjust the damping and usually the ride height...

No but on the fk automotive the damping is non adjustable but the height can be adjusted.

I asked ktec at its a trial kit of sorts and the hardness can be changed using springs that they will supply to suit my liking.

Getting FK Automotive Highsport coilovers fitted on monday so can give you feedback monday night compared to my stock (worn?) 16v suspension.

FK Automotive use Koni internals and apparently come with lifetime guarantee so that is why I plumped for them. You can get damping adjustment for about £150 extra but I didnt feel its worth it.

got gaz coilovers not overly impressed on ride may be set wrong or wrong springs what lb/rate yu guys got ????

Just drove back with my new FK Automotive coilovers. Car feels like new again, even though it was 5 years old when I bought it but you know what I mean.

Would recommed them to any1 and they also do some for the 172. Lifetime Guarantee also if you but from an Approved FK Dealer.
