Do you really need a thread for this?
Have a search and look at pictures and decide for yourself.
hows it a pointless thread?! if you think its pointless dont comment or read the thread?!
Im having the same sorta problems with wheels atm need some new ones unsure of what to get ....... 2118's look good in 15's
I wish I hadn't read it tbh
"What wheels" What tyres" "What exhaust" is far to commonly posted.
Every combination of mainstream wheels exhausts etc have been done to death on these cars, within two pages of the forum you could have your answer.
Hence pointless thread

So why did you open it given the title?
Its not like the title was "understanding engine geometry and the effect rod ratio has at different points in the rev range" and then when you opened it you were tricked into reading about wheels instead after all?
yes still havbe the 182 hard to find a 200 with less miles than mine for what i want to pau (182 only on 31k)
Mileage never really bothered me, providing it has well documented history an been looked after by enthuiasts an specialists an looks, sounds and goes good on the day I'll buy it. As for wheels I'd go for 15" with a 195/50/15 tyre, gives loads of choice when it comes to tyres an in my opinion there ride better on that combo. Here was my old 172 on TD pro race 1.2's in anthicite.
Gaz Gold coilovers, weren't bad but don't think I'd go down the gaz route again tbh. Fk Konigsport seem to get good reviews on here though

I like Gaz shocks as a senisblely priced option, they are ok performance for the money, and their service on rebuilds etc is quick and very well priced, so it makes it easy to keep them in tiptop condition.
Obvioulsy they arent like having AST's but they are better than some of the other budget brands, in fact even the lower model Gaz are still better than anything else for the same money IMHO

If you're going for 15" then 2118>everything
In my opinion of course, especially in anthracite.
Thats the top spec ones, the lower spec ones are far cheaper:

That's the whole point of why i use the f1 as any problems and its easy to find one to replace it. Unlikely to find one pro race in the right offset etc in a hurry for sensible money.
Plus tbh slightly bent wheel is no issue on track anyway, only annoying on the motorway really.
2118s only come in 15" :rasp:
Superleggeras!! or f1's for ease of replacement as Chip has mentioned.
Turinis and 2118's are common as muck
I had a friend at rimstock at the time hence why I went for the pro races.
I really like the 1.2 my turbo is on at the moment, strong, light and attractive, faultless really in terms of the wheels themselves, but for trackday rims I find it handy to have 5 or 6 in a set, so for example if I have a few tracksays in a row at combe, I know that I am going to utterly hammer the passenger side but barely touch the drivers side, so with 6 wheels I can have 4 pass side and 2 drivers side, and therefore save a fortune in keep getting the tyres taken off and swapped over etc, and OZ F1 allow me to easily do that.
