while changing bulbs lights no longer work in 2007 non-sport

while changing the headlight bulbs in my 2007 non-sport (TCE) my head lights packed in and no longer work. I have checked the bulbs but they look fine.

Anyone had similar problems?

MOT booked in for tomorrow and im desperate
