Whining noise

Droaning noise

Any guesses as to what could be creating this whining noise from my engine? It's a 1.4 RT. 1996 high milage.

When the car is idling there is a droan/whining noise coming from the engine, It's not that loud you can't hear it in the car but you can if you stand in front of it.
Doesn't do it when it's going along, just when it's idling.

BTW: It's had new fan and pas belt. Oh and it's quiet low pitched.

Bit new the renault scene but sounds to me like your fanbelts on too tight.

Cheers for the suggestion matey will have to look into that, I let the "skilled mechanics" at Hi-Q loose on that one, had to take it back before as get this, I took the car in because the fan belt was screaching I left with a perfect fan belt and a screaching PAS belt.
