Whining sound on my 06 clio

Hi there
A whining sound has started from the front of my 06 plate clio.
Only happens on idle or when the rev's go up or down.
There is no difference if I turn the steering wheel and its not coming from the stereo.

As it only happens on idle or when the rev's go up or down leads me to think its something running off the engine. I'm thinking it might be the alternator but I dont know much about cars?

Any ideas?

Get your head in the engine bay and listen for it..

Its coming from the front left of the engine bay.

If its the 1.2, it will be the auxillary belt tensioner 100%.

Sounds like your supercharger

aux belt tensioner if noise is from front left

get it changed lol
