Any car you put it on will have to be 53 or newer so you wouldn't be able to put it on your current car.

you cant put it on yours fella as yours is a 51 plate. Your not allowed to issue a plate to a car that would make the car seem newer.

Buy direct from the dvla or risk being stung (most plate people just get theirs from the dvla anyway) then they add on their bit.

Just went on to the DVLA site, and serached for HT51 HAZ... EVEN BETTER!! £399... and said this

DVLA's prices include VAT and the £80 assignment fee. This means there is nothing else to pay except for the cost of having the actual physical plates made up. NO HIDDEN CHARGES

any hidden strings??

Nope I bought mine from the dvla, as it says all you will have to pay is getting the physical plates made up (£25ish), its worth buying decent plates as they are cracking down on ones without postcodes etc.

None at all apart from as Alex says, just the cost of getting the plates made up.

So what that means is the £399 covers the transfer of the plate to my name...? for the vehicle that i assigned it to?

What do i do with the old plate that was on the car before??.... is it non-existant, but still under my name?
