Can you tell which side of my car has had to be repaired?

I can't make my mind up if i'm pleased with it or not.
They said i could take it back if not.:S

Re sprays aint that bad if they dont match a little but that is madness.

Are they professinal sprayers ?
 
Did they even spray it? Looks more like they have primed it then forgot about it. Didnt they realise it was not a match when they refixed the door strip and its a completely different colour.

I would have refused to take it back mate and told them to redo it
 
yip, it's the drvers door, well pissed off.
Do you think i should take it back?
I parked it in the sun at the spray shop and you could see it in different angles then it would go in others. I asked for the top sprayer to hav a look but when he came out the sun was covered by the clouds and you couldn't tell. He told me to bring it back in a couple of day's if i wasn't happy. It was an insurance job, next door neighbour ran in it while it was parked outside my house.

They are called maccersfeild motor bodys, they are supposed to be reconised by BMW,Audi,Mercs. All the top ones.
 
My old 172 had a scratch on the bumper and passenger door . 5 places i went to all said that its a b**ch of a colour to match .From certain angles i could see where it had been sprayed .

If your not happy take it back and tell em .
 
Very bad finish.

If its an insurance job refuse to accept such a poor quality repair.

Print off a copy of that first picture - mention it cannot stay like this its an obviouse sign of accident damage.

Show them the colour difference - the difference in colour will be obvious with bodyshop lighting equipment.
 
Yep drivers side is really noticable, i'd be taking it striaght back. My mum had the whole back passenger side of her astra resprayed when somewhere ran into her and you can't even tell its been done, total perfect match.
 
What do you think i should say?
Should i ask them to spray the whole side of the car then it will at least all be 1 colour.

Goin to do that what you said mate.
If ive got a photograph then they can't argue with tha can they and if it's dull and pi55in down then they can still see it.
 
Yep as everyone else has said, take it back!

I would even let them leave my car like that and its only worth a few hundred quid, never mind a good few K for yours
 
Well you have all made my mind up.
I was just going to put up with it but f*** it why should i?
 
remember that paint looks different shades on different surfaces. My doors (metal) are a slightly different shade to the plastic front sides, that's how it came. but even so, that paint job is awful!
 
drivers doors a diff colour?!
hope im right cos dont wanna make ya paranoid if not!

Yeah i know about the wings it's the door thats the problem.
They said that they have fliped it in to the wing and th back 1/4 but it's to light.
Looks like they have put tomuch gold in it and not enough violet.
 
prob done it in titanium and not iceburg by the looks of that. Defo take it back not right at all
 
take it back mate, looks really bad, you can tell on all the picsa, this is why im scared of colour coding my car, mine is a silver that in some angles looks slightly blue, if the fookjed it up i would be horrified.
 
To be honest the finish is mint, it's as good as the original paint work it's just the wrong colour.
Going to take it back,phone them tomo and tell them i'm not satisfied.
They said i could take it back, just hope they stick to there word, if not i will contact the girls insurance and tell them i aren't satisfied.
They said the work is guaranteed for three years anyway.
 
It makes me laugh though, cos any half decent bodyshop would look at that and think 'its the wrong colour', yet they still give it to you looking like that
 
Thanks guy's, you sure know how to make some one feel better.
Phoned them up today and they said bring it back so it's goin on friday.
Takin some pics with me just incase it's dull.
